VIDEOS: Dailey & Vincent again nominated for top bluegrass awards

The dynamic duo of Dailey & Vincent are back in the running this year for top vocal group and entertainers of the year, awards they have won in the past from the International Bluegrass Music Association (see complete list of nominees). The band, with the addition of bass singer Christian Davis, has attained a new level of vocal prowess — they really can sing from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows.

Frankly, the first time I heard Davis sing with the band, I was stunned at the bass notes he was producing. He sings bass as if it were an instrument, manipulating the microphone for emphasis.

Here they are singing the National Anthem:

The group has nearly perfected its stage presence in the past several years. They have a schtick which can be a bit corny at times, but seems to please audiences. And they follow it up with remarkable songs and vocals.

I could do without the interruption in this song,
but it is a classic that Christian was meant to sing:

And just for good measure, I just love this song, a Statler Brothers’ song that Dailey & Vincent revived. It moves me every time I hear it. See if you don’t agree:
